Full job description for Commercial Roof Estimator

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Utilize software tools for takeoffs and estimating processes.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs.
• Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the construction process.
• Provide ongoing support during the bidding process, including responding to inquiries from contractors and clients.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with cost control techniques and project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in using estimating and take-off software.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
